About This Course

Price: $25.00 USD Members

This targeted mini-course, " User Needs, Testing, and Tools," moves beyond foundational principles to focus on the human experience, rigorous evaluation methods, and the effective use of testing tools. You'll learn to see the web through the lens of users with diverse disabilities, systematically identify barriers, and employ a multi-faceted testing strategy to ensure digital products are truly inclusive and conform to established standards. Through structured sections based on the Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) Body of Knowledge, you'll learn how to build websites and applications that work for everyone.

You'll gain skills in both automated and manual testing techniques while learning how to document WCAG failures accurately and report findings effectively. Whether you're conducting audits, managing quality assurance, or leading accessibility initiatives, this course will equip you to help organizations create equitable digital experiences, mitigate legal risk, and expand their market reach to over one billion people with disabilities globally.

For current IAAP Certification holders, this course serves as an excellent refresher and includes dedicated content on the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882).

This course was developed by the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP).
